Crooked River Source to Sea Film Release
Last Summer we were excited to support a group of local Maine paddlers as they took a source to sea journey down the Crooked River, across Sebago Lake, down the Presumpscot River, and finally to Casco Bay. The group’s goal was to learn about themselves, and raise awareness for, the importance of the Crooked River watershed to southern Maine, ecologically, recreationally, and as a source of drinking water for Maine’s most heavily populated region. One of those paddlers, friend of P2 and graduate of our Maine Sea kayak Guide training, Jenny O’Connell, was interviewed about the experience for our blog last year.
We are now excited to announce that a documentary on the trip, produced by the folks at Maine Mountain Media, is forthcoming, and the trailer has just dropped! Check it out below, and be sure not to miss the full film when it releases. You can also check out Jenny’s substack for more of her writing, and Andy Gagne’s website for photos from the expedition.
