About

Our guided rentals are a great option for experienced campers able to provide their own camping gear and food, but who want the expertise of a local guide for an overnight sea kayak trip on the Maine coast.

Guided rentals are more affordable than our regular guided trips, but we still provide all the paddling gear you need and a licensed Maine guide to help you navigate your course along the Maine Island Trail.

Your guide will help you choose the right campsite for your group based on your interests, experience level, and weather conditions. The presence of your guide also provides opportunities for you to develop and strengthen kayaking and trip-planning skills and to learn all about the local natural history and culture. Most importantly, having a guide along on your trip will ensure you have the safety gear, rescue skills and navigation abilities to safely navigate the dynamic sea conditions found along the Maine coast.

Details

Prices are per group and vary by group size, trip length, and trip destination. Trips of 3-5 days in length are standard, but any length of guided rental trip is possible. Please contact us for a quote for your group.

What’s Included:

  • Licensed Maine Guide w/ all necessary safety, communication, first aid/rescue, and navigation equipment
  • Sea Kayaks
  • Basic Paddling Gear (PFD, Sprayskirt, Paddle)
  • One medium/large and one smalll/medium dry bag per person
  • Freshwater for drinking and cooking
  • Waste management systems
